    Re: 2015 Random Mumblings!

finished the regular season on a 7-game winning streak.

    Batting AVG: .289 (2nd)
    Homeruns: 138 (26th)
    Walks: 494 (15th)
    Stolen Bases: 308 (2nd)
    Runs Scored: 891 (6th)

    Pitching ERA: 4.20 (8th)
    Opponents AVG: .267 (17th)
    HRs Allowed: 117 (3rd)
    Walks Allowed: 432 (6th)
    Runs Allowed: 744 (8th)

    so in addition to:

    Saturday 7/1/2015 :
Jemile Weeks's hitting streak was snapped at 28 games!

    he finishes the season with:

    Sunday 10/1/2015 :
Jemile Weeks extends his hitting streak to 18 games!

he hit .448 with an OPS of 1.065 for September/October. He's also the only player listed twice on the list for AL records for single game:

    Hits 9 Innings : 6, Jemile Weeks (9/2/2015, Oakland)
    Triples : 3, Jemile Weeks (6/28/2012, Oakland)

Pujols may get another MVP: 1st in average (.380 - .351), OBP, SLG, OPS, runs created, runs created / 27 outs, 5th in hits, 7th in homers, 9th in RBIs, 8th in runs, 5th in EBH, and tied for 1st in TB.

8 guys with double digit SBs (13, 15, 23, 30, 37, 49, 52, 61) and most of those guys missed time with injuries or didn't play full-time, too. I used some platoons and the injuries helped with that, too.

oh, and we play the Yankees in the first round for the 7th straight season (Yankees 4, A's 2)

BABIP merely means that he doesn't give up a ton of HRs and has an awesome defense. The WHIP is the key pitcher stat for me. And Price has a .11 lead in WHIP

it's also funny because we haven't always won the division, but still met in the first round. He won the Wild Card the first 4 times and then the division the next 3 times. I won my division the first 5 times, the Wild Card the 6th time, and now the division for the 7th meeting.

The BA has to improve, the power numbers are great, the pitching is good, and will likely only get better. 8 different guys with 15+ HR. Raffy and Crow did pretty decently in their cup of coffee in the majors. And, we came back from a small deficit to win the division 2 straight years. Here's to hoping we can win a series this time!

    Here's to hoping you don't.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

I think Price should win the Cy.

Now the NL, is where it gets interesting...

Who would you give it to- Strasburgh, or Weathers?

I'm sure the easy answer is probably Strasburgh, but... look at Weathers too:

#29 Stephen Strasburgh, Starting Pitcher, 27 yrs, Milwaukee Brewers - Out of the Park Baseball Report Strasburgh
#28 Casey Weathers, Closer, 29 yrs, San Diego Padres - Out of the Park Baseball Report

I do believe Weathers has an outside chance...

I'm 99% sure that would have been the single greatest turnaround in MLB history...from 57 wins to 98, a +41 difference. 4th division title for the Brewers in the new TPSL. All with a $45 mil payroll, and plenty of money to spend in FA. The future is bright.

Weathers, and it's not even close. Although I do favor giving nontraditional Cy Youngs.

That'll be the first time I've ever seen a reliever win it. I think it'll be Strasburgh or Inoa. They're both top 5 for nearly all of the major pitching leaderboards.

Woo! 102 Losses! We did it guys!
    *holds up trophy*

Winning 6 in the last sim almost made this dream a lie but we dug down deep and lost 3 of our last 4 to accomplish this!

I'd like to thank mntwinsfan for making this possible and look forward to next year cause.... IT CAN'T GET MUCH WORSE! WOO! Now pass me the keys cause we're headed home!

Milwaukee and I could be walking into traps (well, I know I am). Atlanta and Chicago have mounds of talent and both underachieved considering. Plus I'm totally starting a minor league cast off that the 102 loss Twins cut in the lineup. \m/
