I hate this team. My injuries destroyed our chances so we tanked hard after having a pretty spectacular record in the first half and practically handed the division away on a silver platter to anyone in the NL East. I have lost so many divisions in the past few months by only a game or two that it truly is becoming nauseating.

A -6 pyth record doesn't sound too horrible, but it went from -2 a couple of months ago to -6 by the end.

I did trade like half of my freaking roster over the last year so who I am kidding thinking that I could still pull off the division.

You had a real nice run though... it's refreshing that you can compete every year without having to put 90mil into your team. It's just kinda shitty how your team never generates any revenue, despite always winning.

Hey, think of it this way- Kyle Russell is going to be really solid for you (if I had to guess), Tony Pena boosted should you keep him... and I'm going to let Quentin walk and still missed the playoffs. I wish I never made that deal, although at the time I loved it... I never thought Russell would explode like he has though.

Well, I have pitching now, so I just need to get some hitting.

    Re: 2015 Random Mumblings!

If it wasn't for Exquivel going down, the run would have likely continued. Perfect in save opportunities, no losses since May (only three in total) and big statistics. Of course the OOTP doctors decided he needed another sim on the DL and thus Florida losses its lead.

Oh well. Losing money, overpaying for big bats that do nothing in the playoffs when there (a rare occurrence now,) and usually trading away talent for scraps as I am forced to: the Florida way of life. My team is too old to sell off for anything of value so I'll just continue to go down with the sinking ship. We can't even lose right. If I lost one more game I'd be ahead of a few other teams for the draft at least.

    Congrats to all playoff teams.

Just noticed something... Dave's Tigers had... 5 players with 100+ RBis, and 3 starters with 20 wins (albeit being in a 4-man most of the yr...), and lead the league as a team in SBs to boot...

    Re: 2015 Random Mumblings!

Yeah... if I would not have had a couple injuries, I had an outside shot at 6 100RBI guys... also had 3 of the top 6 base stealers, all with over 50 steals.. and Maybin was 1 HR from having a 30/50 season

    Batting AVG: .293 (1st)
    Homeruns: 195 (7th)
    Walks: 522 (10th)
    Stolen Bases: 316 (1st)
    Runs Scored: 988 (1st)

    Pitching ERA: 4.13 (6th)
    Opponents AVG: .258 (6th)
    HRs Allowed: 130 (5th)
    Walks Allowed: 437 (7th)
    Runs Allowed: 729 (6th)

Thank goodness that one of the patchwork FA signings for the pen (when 40% of my pen got injuries) pitched well for a scrap heap guy.... Angel Guzman was a pleasant surprise... though I will have to rethink my setup situation because Gurrola sucked down the stretch

Jurrjens has a shot at Cy Young, considering his 22 wins and top 10 ERA... but it could go to Price from TB with 20 wins and #2 in ERA

This is going to have to be the year.. because I don't think I am going to be able to justify the $$$ needed for Reyes and a new contract... though I would love to have him on DET for breaking the all time steals title... 10+ MIL for 5 or so years is a lot to commit... The steals between him and Carl Crawford would be sorely missed, and that would mean retooling the team to a different style of offense for next season

Granderson has another year in the top 10 in BA again... the guy is just a hitting machine... though I think his shot at taking the all time doubles title is hurt, considering his production of doubles mysteriously has dropped...

Shockingly we led the league in team OPS, but I had no individual offensive player with an OPS over .900

Tartamella would have been in the top 10 in BA, if he would just qualify on the # of AB's.. .337 BA in 421 AB's... and 30 steals for a catcher

Saying good bye to Chris Shelton... started off the year hot as a backup 1B and DH.. the minute he went into the starting lineup against lefties, he dropped his average 70 points

Carl Crawford goes to FA with good ratings, 3rd in RBI, 6th in SB, 4th in 2B, 6th in 3B... hopefully I get good compensation... his OPS is lower than would be thought, but his ratings and leaderboard performance are still there

On to the playoffs... 1st up.. Baltimore or TB

From past experiences with OOTP, I think that Price will get the Cy. My honest opinion is that he was the best pitcher in the AL, and his strong finish would result in him getting the Cy IRL. Hopefully I'll win the 1 game playoff and have Tampa make the playoffs for the first time in franchise history.

    Price advantages
    ERA
    K
    Losses

    Jurrjens advantages
    Wins
    BABIP
    CG
    SHO

    Equal on WHIP and QS

Pretty close.. We've seen many times where the wins leader gets it.. and we've seen dominant ERA pitchers get it

    We'll have to see

    Strasburgh for Cy.

    What a ****ing regular season.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.
