As for KWest..... what a piece of trash. Asshat with a capital A!
To be fair to Chris, it appears they just cut right to him and he was unprepared because they finally realized what was going on...

But seriously, does Kanye have a speech impediment or something? You could tell Myers was reading it and Kanye was blibbering and blabbering his way through with his own "thoughts"

when it comes to minorities and rights, democrats are alot further ahead of republicans. it still ain't much to write home about, though.

you could be right. I guess in fairness I should give him the benefit of the doubt. Then again, he doesn't come off as too brilliant either (not speaking of this but other instances and interviews as well as his roles in movies).

West is a freaking dolt. Bush isnt thinking "oh yes, lets keep the black folk down. and that this is good for Whitey". I mean, seriously. did his momma drop him on his head when he was a baby?!?

and yah, chris tucker was unprepared for that cutaway to him. so of course he is going to look even stupider than normal!

Kanye West had every right to say what he said and it was the perfect forum to say it. More people should have spoken up. He said what millions of people in America are thinking and feeling. It's typical that people critisize anyone who speaks out like he did because they don't want to hear it, they'd rather these sensitive issues be swept under the rug. If Kanye was a good black man, a good American, he'd keep his mouth shut right? He's going to do more than any of us at this forum, probably more than all of us combined. Hell he already has.

I don't know about anyone else but watching those people suffer day after day made me sick, it was appalling!!! Our government was completely unprepared and it's scary how poorly they responded. Had this happened in Crawford, Texas would the response be so slow? How about Beverly Hills or any other rich, white neigborhood? Instead it happened to people who were poor, and mainly black and the response was slow. If any of you aren't sickened by the slow response, and race or class isn't an issue, then you need to check yourself. Fact is that racism exists in this country, though there are people who forget that. Racism has been an evil in this country since it's beginning, though too many people want to forget that. One can debate whether not the slow response was racism at work, but for Kanye West or anyone else to state it, it's more than a fair response. The American government had a chance to step up an show otherwise, and they failed. Had they responded with any kind of urgency and in a timely manner, none of this would have been an issue. Excuse Kanye West and any other black person for feeling that way, I guess most white people don't care nor do they care to get it because they aren't the ones being thrown under the train and left behind time after time. Five days? Come on.

And another one of Kanye's statements was about the photos, which HAS happened. White people are shown "finding food" or "getting supplies" while black people are always shown "looting." In those cases, that is the media showing racism whether anyone likes it or not, or believes it or not. Kanye wasn't out of line for saying what he said, he put it out in front for all of America to see and hear. Problem is, American doesn't want to hear it because they know it to be true and can't accept it.

At least it was he who chose to say such things. Imagine if um, 50 Cent was on NBC saying such things, ...yo

Sure, he has every right to say what he wants. I have the same right to call him an idiot for saying it.
