  1. As the Miami Lorialins turn...

Ah, so you did miss out on that Albert Pujols guy. And couldn't sign CJ Wilson either. It's okay though. There's still plenty of fish left in the sea. Oh, see what I did there?

The signing of Mark Buerhle was more important than you realize. If Josh Johnson can get and stay healthy, you have a quality trio in the rotation (Johnson-Sanchez-Buerhle), which begs the question. Instead of maybe trying to spend big on Prince Fielder, perhaps Miami should pursue Yu Darvish? As well as quality ...

  2. Free Agency Rapid Reaction: What Miami should consider doing if..

Miami was expected to be a big player in free agency, being in a new city, a new park, and having a new name, logo, and the whole nine yards. 5. Award Winning

As we stroll through September, we're a third of the way through, and nearing the conclusion of another excellent season of baseball. The playoff races have started to drift off as separation has taken its toll. But, the awards? Not so much. I mean Justin Verlander is obviously the AL Cy Young, in one of the better crop of Cy Young candidates in quite some time (just think about what Sabathia, Shields, and Weaver have done...with some nods to CJ Wilson, Josh Beckett, and Jon Lester.. you tell me ...
