a very good sim 8-2, but one that could have been better, at least my lead on the Baby Eating Yankees increased to 10.0 games.

2-2 vs KC - big reason why the sim could have been better, should have been a sweep
    3-0 vs BAL
3-0 @ OAK - prevented a win for Harden be happy Ben Sheets

    Batting AVG: .258 (10th)
    Homeruns: 125 (11th)
    Walks: 411 (6th)
    Stolen Bases: 77 (23rd)
    Runs Scored: 591 (9th)

    Pitching ERA: 3.58 (2nd)
    Opponents AVG: .246 (8th)
    HRs Allowed: 82 (T-2nd)
    Walks Allowed: 290 (3rd)
    Runs Allowed: 462 (2nd)

    Pitching is nothing but

AJ Burnett made his return to the Rotation this sim
1-0, 6.10 ERA, 10.1 IP, 3 BB, and 6 K's, not a bad return especially when you beat Oakland and grab PoG.

Vernon Wells is having a great season, ranking is AL only, if he had stronger stats I would say MVP.
    .290 Avg, 21 HR (T-6th), 83 RBI (T-6th), .351 OBP, .550 SLG (4th), .901 OPS (9th), 124 Hits, 82 Runs (1st), 26 2B, 11 3B (T-2nd), and 58 EBH (T-2nd).

    Eddie Guardado is madness itself

Next sim has a series with the Yankees, I can get passed that with a good record, I believe I can seal the division soon.

You know you felt sorry for me :P. Ive been saying it all year this team is better than it was last year and will only continue to get better as more of my drafts/trades start bearing fruit.

7-5 sim, increased the division lead to 11.0 games

    1-2 @ TEX
3-0 vs NYY - huge sweep for the Jays
    2-1 vs MIN
    1-2 vs ANA

    Batting AVG: .261 (7th)
    Homeruns: 141 (11th)
    Walks: 440 (8th)
    Stolen Bases: 81 (24th)
    Runs Scored: 656 (9th)

    Pitching ERA: 3.68 (3rd)
    Opponents AVG: .247 (9th)
    HRs Allowed: 97 (4th)
    Walks Allowed: 325 (4th)
    Runs Allowed: 527 (3rd)

The great news was beating the Yankees but the bad news

Sunday 8/20/2008: Ryan Janssen (TOR) will miss 9 weeks
TORONTO - Toronto is without its right-hander Ryan Janssen for at least 9 weeks. He injured himself while throwing a pitch to Todd Helton in a game against Minnesota. His face showed signs of pain immediately after the ball left his hand. Doctors examined him after the game and diagnosed a Pulled Tricep Muscle which will require surgery. His ERA of 3.36 helped him to a 9-8 record this year. He struck out 93 and walked 54 in 179.1 innings. Ryan has pitched 2 shutouts and 5 complete games.

Jeremy Sowers or Josh banks will get the call to start for the Blue Jays

CF Vernon Wells is getting to be a stronger MVP Candidate, increased his batting avg and OPS numbers by a bit. hitting .301 avg, .929 OPS, 24 HR and 94 RBI.

Called up prospect Adam Lind this sim, he did ok for his 1st stint.

Toronto looking forward to Sept. call ups.

Looks like Jason Bay finally decided to play baseball this year. I really think it is San Francisco btw, b/c Matt Murton has sucked ever since he got here.

I know most of my players are old, but considering some of the guys I have, this is flat out embarassing...

    Batting AVG: .248 (20th)
    Homeruns: 108 (23rd)
    Walks: 384 (20th)
    Stolen Bases: 87 (23rd)
    Runs Scored: 554 (22nd)

I don't expect to be at the top with aging guys, but why not middle of the pack?
