News Free Agency Round 1 Signings

The first round of Free Agency will go slow, because I'm working on some other things to get the league ready for the start of the season. I don't know if the rest of free agency will be as slow, but I will know more by this weekend. It is possible that the rest of the rounds will go quicker. I just need to get things hammered out with the other additions to the league that I'm working on.

    Round 1 Deadline Sunday 8:00pm
There is plenty of time to send offers and get responses, so take advantage of it.

Terry Reiber SP was resigned by Beijing last year, and incorrectly appears in the free agent list. He is NOT a free agent, and all offers for him will be ignored.

    FREE AGENCY COMPENSATION RULES

    1. Free agency will now be 5 rounds total every year. The first 4 rounds will all be compensentary now, and each will be simmed 5 days at a time, and then a final 10 day round which is compensentary free.

    2. Class A Free agents will net compensation for the first 4 rounds (20 days). Class B Free Agents will net compensation for the first 2 rounds (10 days)

    3. Class A type free agents will net compensation in the form of a pick from #11 overall to #40 overall, depending on the signing team.

    4. Class B free agents will net compensation in the form of a pick from #41 overall to #70 overall, depending on the signing team.

    5. The class of the free agents is decided by ratings.

    6. If you sign 2 players of the same class, the team who had the worst record the previous season, will be given the correct compensation. The team who had the better record the previous season, will be given your NEXT ROUND pick, as well as a sandwich pick in between rounds, which we will work out by randomly creating a player and then drafting him for said team. It won't show up on the site as "drafted by such and such" team, but it will all work out the same and all the players and salaries will work out right.

Here is a list of the compensation players.

    Class A
    C. Crawford LF Beijing
    E. Aybar 3B Detroit
    D. Lamp C Las Vegas

The rehab clinic is coming along well. I still have a lot of work to do on the created players system. This is something that can be great if it is done well. I've never done anything like this before, so I'm hoping I can design it in a way that will work well.

Ok...the threat is over now. You may all relax, and proceed with whatever it was you were doing.

Lost my first rounder, but got two guys that I never expected to get at a SERIOUS discount.

got a 1st round pick for Aybar, nice, if he hits like 2010 then yes its good for OM but if its 2011 again, could get similar production from cheaper players
