BOX SCORES Las Vegas @ New York
    Game #: 626, (GAME LOG) , Thursday, 5/18/2008

Check out the box score. Brad Hawpe goe's 4 for 5 with 9 rbis!

Then I give up 21 runs in two games only to lose 21-13 and 21-18! Wish I could see the box scores. Wont open I get and error message.

Those high scoring games must have been about 5 hours per game.

Okay, I've got Rich Aurilia whining about not getting enough playing time. Where's the option to tell him to shut up and get back on the bench where I'm paying him $740,000 to sit?

And what's Hafner doing with a broken jaw? I specifically put a clause in his contract forbidding him from getting into fights at lesbian biker bars. This is unacceptable. Where do I find out which Alaskan pitcher beaned my $7 million DH? Because I plan on retaliating the next time we face them. Expect a bench clearing incident. We will so stand around the middle of the field getting held back so we can't throw any actual punches. You've all been warned.

Great, a 3-7 sim. Just what I needed. Getting swept by Detroit didn't help either.

    Batting AVG: .306 (1st)
    Homeruns: 53 (T-21st)
    Walks: 114 (32nd)
    Stolen Bases: 84 (T-2nd)
    Runs Scored: 294 (T-13th)

    Pitching ERA: 5.14 (19th)
    Opponents AVG: .291 (29th)
    HRs Allowed: 52 (T-11th)
    Walks Allowed: 163 (T-7th)
    Runs Allowed: 284 (17th)

The batting is fine. The pitching needs to pick it up, especially the bullpen, or else this team is going nowhere. Bottom line.

How does Tony Armas have an ERA under 4 and Verlander has one over 5??

My team is sucking horribly. My lowest era is now CC at 4.83 - I'm scoring lots and hitting well, but can't pitch at all. I went from 1 game lead in the standings to 6 games behind. Horrible.

haha maybe we should get our teams together for a little dinner, maybe a meeting afterwards to discuss...business. purely official business. we would never think of having discussions about the possibility of your pitchers teaching my pitchers in exchange for my hitters teaching your hitters how to hit. Never...

Re: 2008 Random Rumblings Take 3

8-2 sim, 7 game winning streak, finally a winning sim and jumped from 4th in the division to 2nd and only 2.0 games back, also jumped into a early Wild Card lead

after Loe was dealt away I put Brandon Claussen into the rotation and he performed very well going 3-0, 20.2 IP, 1.30 ERA, 3 ER, 7 BB and 23 K's in 3 starts

    Batting AVG: .259 (29th)
    Homeruns: 48 (T-27th)
    Walks: 211 (4th)
    Stolen Bases: 63 (12th)
    Runs Scored: 271 (24th)

    Pitching ERA: 4.76 (11th)
    Opponents AVG: .269 (13th)
    HRs Allowed: 56 (16th)
    Walks Allowed: 184 (22nd)
    Runs Allowed: 265 (11th)

hitting improving, pitching was strong this sim except my ace of all pitchers

    only one piece of development

George Romriell seems to have improved his pure stuff!
George Romriell's pitches have more bite now, the movement has improved!
George Romriell is hitting his spots better, his command improved!

he improved to a 6-10-9, 5.0 star prospect

Another losing SIM for me 4 wins and 8 loses and also Jeff Francouer is out for 2-3 weeks. Ugh. I drop to 3rd place in the division , but only out by 2 games.

    This is good, right???

    Pitching ERA: 5.78 (27th)
    Opponents AVG: .279 (21st)
    HRs Allowed: 74 (29th)
    Walks Allowed: 242 (32nd)
    Runs Allowed: 328 (30th)

I want to puke looking at these stats. And to think, I'm still in the division lead.

Don't let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.
