I am amazed at some of the contracts offered. I seem to have seriously underestimated the market. I am not sure I want to pay the market price, though.

I am surprised I got Swisher so cheap. Serious under-performer it seems, but I am willing to risk it at that cost since I was able to trade some OF surplus to get a much needed starter for my infielder, so in the end it didn't work out too badly.

you could have had him for cheaper...he wanted $3.71 mil for 3 and you were the only to offer for him. Until you offered I was considering throwing an offer out there, but I don't really have a spot for him unless I move/bench a couple people. My OF looks like Ramirez, Beltran, Sizemore LF to RF with Head at 1B...Wilson as my primary backup for LF/RF/1B.

of course, a lot of guys went, and will go, for more than they want(ed).

It's like crying over spilled milk, what's done is done. Besides, I only wanted to go 2 years so I would of needed to offer a bit more to get him to sign early at 2 years.

I know...I just find it interesting what some guys get compared to what they ask for...it's still cheaper than I would have guessed. I was shocked no one had offered to him until you did...
