damn I'm happy with Utley since Wright hated my team but what happened with Izturis, I made a bid for 3.5 mill so I missed by a lot.

wright didn't like my organization, so I was tempted to throw an offer at someone like Swisher to fill my need at DH. but i'll just fill the void internally.

just waiting on the signing of a reliever in round 2, now. I had about $35 mil available for this free agency period, but outside of the impulsive luxury allure of david wright, there just weren't many players who appealed to me.

Threw a token offer at Utley thinking maybe if he was picky enough I could get him, but missed. Missed on Jason Schmidt by quite a bit, guess I cant strike twice with the "cheap" vet like Anderson last year.

Still need a SP. Interested to see what the guys I offered on said.
