    Re: Hockey playoffs selections.

    IMO the NHL should really think about going to a bracket style, instead of re-seeding after every round like the NFL does. I much prefer bracket style. Boston would be playing Pittsburgh right now, while Washington would be playing Carolina. I don't think I can handle the constant overhyping of Ovechkin vs. Pussy Crosby.

    Nevertheless, I'm taking:

    Boston over Carolina in 6 games;
    Washington over Pittsburgh in 7 games;
    Detroit over Anaheim in 5 games;
    Vancouver over Chicago in 6 games.

    Ward for some reason or another is a way different goalie in the playoffs, in a good way, he just sucks in the regular season for whatever reason and got way over-hyped after 06

    if every day was playoff hockey Ward would probably be a top 5 goalie in the NHL

    How does the guy that gave up 6 goals in 4 games suddenly become worse than the guy who gave up 6 in a 2 game stretch, Thomas is a Vienza finalist for a reason, and its cause he's better than Cam Ward. Ward looked good cause NJ can't score goals (also a factor for Thomas and Montreal) but Thomas has a much better defense and Ward won't be handle the Bruins shot load and pressure, there is a reason he's 0-4 with a 3.89 GAA vs the B's in the regular season.

    I just don't get why Ward's 2.11 GAA and .938 Sv % is better than Thomas's 1.50 GAA and .946 Sv %

    Because it's the Blackhawks, and I feel like them getting that far would be almost apocalyptic.
