    Other Flag Football Plays

Browntown is head coach and I'm offensive coordinator for our flag football team here at cuse, and we're always looking for good trick plays. We have a flea flicker, a statue of liberty, and a reverse option pass in the playbook, but I though I'd pick your brains on any good plays or trick plays that work. Post here if you have any good ideas! 7 men on the field at one time.

    Re: Flag Football Plays

You could put four people on the short side of a field and run a WR screen the receiver furthest back.

How mobile are the seven people you got. Because I could put a whole offensive system for your team.

Kyle is our QB. He's pretty mobile. We have, I would say, 3 "good to great" mobility players, and 3 average or below.

umm, Off the top of my head, I would say that 4 of our offensive players(2 WR, 1 TE, 1 WR/OL) are 5'11" or taller.

    Re: Flag Football Plays

Hmmm if you have a mobile QB and a good HB.

You could got with the shotgun and with a zone read offense like Vince Young did at Texas.

But since you have some height. I would run crossing patterns and lots of misdirection.

I think we're doing something like that play.

    Re: Flag Football Plays

You could do a HB direct play or send a WR and hike it when it that player crosses between the Center and QB.

    Re: Flag Football Plays

We always ran a play we called "Brownies" for Harrington Hall.

    2 WR's, and 2 SB's, 1 C, 1QB, and a RB.

The Slot Backs run crossing routes, with one in front of the other the SB that runs the deeper of the two routes, makes the catch, and than quickly flips it to the other that runs to the other side. The D will get pulled to one side on the first pass, leaving the strong, or weak side free of anything.

Here's were it get tricky, also avaliable are your WR's, running the "go" routes on the outside, always ready for a pitch if needed.

Once you run the same play, in the same formation so many times, you than pull a rabbit out, just hit the WR down the sideline for a deep ball, or don't make the first SB lateral, and let him run with it. Or let you RB take it for those short games.

What are you doing for a D, man, or zone? cause I have a sweet cover 3 system that works for 7 man flag. I am assuming that you are allowed to rush the QB after certain number of "steamboats" or the fact the the rusher most start a certain number of yeards back from the line of scrimmage.
