none of those stats in bold are like the team i want it to be. Im going to have to do a crap load of work to get this fixed. Im going to try the same model i used in Vancouver on this team. Hall, Milledge, Torres for now is my front 3. but after that its going to take work.

great sim...8-1, clinched the playoffs and now it is time to rest my starters so they all don't die on me like they are now

Hey hey, lost 9 in a row... right back in the race with Minnesota for the number 1 pick. My pitching staff is gonna be animalistic with progression in 2 years... Sam, Hunt and Lirry should be fully ready by next year, but Gonzalo is gonna take an extra year. I figure by next year my roster should be... McGill, Hendren, Felts, Aybar, Upton... providing he progresses back up to that 8 in contact, which he should batting .300 the entire season... Yorikane, Abercrombie and Guillen with Sardinha as the DH. I rushed a couple guys along... Guillen and my pitchers, but I figure the progression they'll get in season here... which Guillen got none of thus far, but that's OK, since Hunt, Liriano and Sam all progressed very nicely... as did Montero and Amadeo. I'll sacrifice the last 2 seasons of shitboxness, plus next year's assuredly shitbox... if the next 7-10 after that are successful. Plus I still got about 80 million dollars to spend if I ever want to delve into free agency.
The 2nd place Mets are 3 games behind the 1st place Braves with 7 games against each other in this sim. This could make or break any playoff hopes for either team. I just hope my pitching can hold up.
Batting AVG: .301 (1st)
Homeruns: 174 (11th)
Walks: 403 (18th)
Stolen Bases: 201 (2nd)
Runs Scored: 830 (3rd)
Pitching ERA: 3.89 (5th)
Opponents AVG: .247 (3rd)
HRs Allowed: 168 (14th)
Walks Allowed: 386 (7th)
Runs Allowed: 611 (4th)
With all that you would think I would be just slightly better in the W-L columns... the bats are getting hits at an incredible rate.. Stumm is pitching like a God... bullpen is solid and improving in the mopup and middle relief areas where there was struggling before...
I'm well under my pythagorean record. Oh well.
Robert Felts increases his Contact vs Righties from 6 to 7 .
Robert Felts increases his Overall Contact from 6 to 7 .
Robert Felts increases his Power vs Righties from 4 to 5 .
Robert Felts increases his Overall Power from 4 to 5 .
Robert Felts increases his Power Talent from 4 to 5 .
Shit yea.
And my team hung with some good squads during the sim. Took the last two from Baltimore, lost a couple in the middle to Baltimore, but we blew one in the 9th that went 15 innings, and then we split with the White Sox. At least, that's all I can see out of my last 10 games from the box scores. Sign of the future I would hope.
I demoted Buntin and Eastridge to avoid paying salary arbitration.
Yeah, I am a cheap bastard.

Well, I think it's shaping up to be a disappointing season for the Astros. The only bright side is my starters. 4 of the 5 starters have at least 10 wins. I hope to surpass 87 wins from last year...
WOOOOOOOO 7-2 sim
almost forgot to mention, i beat my record of 95 wins from last season with 96 wins and still counting
2-1 vs CLE
3-1 vs BAL my top 3 starters came though and a big thanks to Joe Crede (thanks CWS)
2-0 @ MIN
that was freakin huge, my team came thought big time, I'm really happy taking 3 out of 4 from Baltimore, only 3 games back of the division, and now i'm only 0.5 games back of Texas for the AL Wild Card
only lost a close one to BAL by a score of 6-5
bad news
