Playoff Atmosphere Starts Tonight

Two big series lately that were mostly one-sided, although the STL/Cinci series was waaaaay one-sided. But there is roughly a month and a half of baseball to go, San Diego and San Francisco could flip flop in the standings numerous times by the time October rolls in.

Yeah we got the Padres for two more series so I'm not too worried but when you only beat a team in your division twice this time of year, you're not exactly ecstatic. Now we have to play Philly then St. Louis which can have major WC implications.

The good news for the Giants, unlike the Reds, is that two of the three games were close and it wasn't a sweep. It would have been a boost to get 2/3 or the sweep, but it shouldn't be demoralizing crushing either.
