It always seems like a bad idea when a mop up pitcher is brought in due to their role...

They need to send Gonzalez, Rusch or an OF down (hopefully Rusch) and get another RP.

Suck city......don't go knee jerk on this one......it was the mop up crew that screwed the pooch.....the tried to get away with giving the frontline guys the night off......and it backfired bigtime.....

I just don't like Rusch in the pen even for mop up, that is why Gonzalez and Ledezma are in.

Wasn't it Joe Thatcher that ruined this game for us?

Yes he did and should have been out of there after he walked Kuroda but you don't put Rusch in with a 2 run ballgame with 1 out and 2 on and the hard of the order up.

On a side note, it looks like my prediction for tonight was right but my reasoning was not.

All things considered it looks like Germano had a good outing. (Just from looking at the box score, anyways.)

Ok, so he didn't actually give up all 4 runs like the box score says.

I think they need to change the way ERs are awarded.

I have a rant on this somewhere in the archives of these forums.

Rusch threw a ball that almost made it to the batters box......that was the beginning of the end

Awesome outing by Peavy, should have been a shutout but Edmonds had trouble in CF.
