What first line? That Winters didn't move a thing except for his mouth?

    That's what has me confused.

I'm not going to really argue this with you because after reading some of the posts in here I get the impression that you feel both were in the wrong, of which I agree, but that particular point still confuses me....that you appear to talk like it's not a big deal that "all he was moving was his mouth"....

You give that impression when you blow his actions off by saying "all he moved was his mouth"

I apologize if I misread your snarky remarks.

And yes I "got" that, maybe you should keep reading.

I apologize if I don't read a bunch of 5 paragraph long posts before throwing in a response to a post that was a reply to me first-hand.

And there's absolutely no reason to go into angry personal insult posts taking up half the page.

(And you wonder why I accuse you of being argumentative.)

The first line of the paragraph you quoted. Bradley started it. An action causes a reaction. If he doesn't say a word to Winters, nothing happens. If he keeps his mouth shut, he doesn't get trash talked back. Same goes for both at that point. Bradley doesn't implode and go after the guy, no torn ACL and no possible suspension. The only big deal I have is that you guys give all the blame to the umpire when Bradley should get most of it. Bradley used poor judgement and if true the umpire will be fired.

Sorry if I get angry when you don't read the whole damn thing and then put words in my mouth! If baited, he didn't have to take it. The umpire did not show him up. No one knew what was going on except maybe 10 people. The umpire was wrong and should never act like that. Should I keep posting they both were wrong over and over? You guys keep the blame solely on the umpire. I am the one blaming both.

Well then, apparently you are the one who needs to read before posting.

    The "first line", no less

As long as I don't have to post multiple times that I'm not condoning Milton Bradley's reaction, as well

And, again, I apologize if I misread the intentions of "all he did was move his mouth"

To me, that suggests that his actions aren't a big deal. But, apparently, you did not mean what that statement implies.

am simply saying he didn't show him up. His actions were unprofessional and will be punished no doubt. Too much publicity and too much wrong doing.

Nice game by the way We will be expecting thank you cards.

LTR, I'm pretty sure we're on the same page here, but you're probably still a bit heated from what looked like a lengthy debate with PFF...and I know how those go.

I tried to imply this much in post 32 after reading some of the subsequent replies and I started realizing that you thought the ump was also in the wrong...but you got the previous two anger filled posts in before I hit reply.

I've been debating this issue at a lot of message boards and my main issue is kinda the exact opposite as yours.

A lot of fans, especially jaded Indians fans, try and paint this as all on Milton and nothing on the ump.

I heard on the radio that they asked Todd Helton what exactly was said at first base, and Helton replied, "NO WAY. I'm staying out of this one. No comment."

Leo you should have looked no further than post #8. That last line pretty much says it all.

I don't blame Helton for not saying anything as of yet. He is trying to get his team into the playoffs and not be in this mess right now. I am sure after the season is over, Selig and Watson will call him in.

Winters suspended for remainder of season.......according to 1090 it's evidently an unprecidented public annoucement of an umpire being suspension..........
