    Padres

    This according to FoxSports.com.....

The Padres and Astros have been scouting each other because the Padres have some interest in Houston third baseman Morgan Ensberg, who is batting .236 with 19 home runs. Ensberg, who will be 31 next month, last played for the Astros on July 9 and yesterday began a minor league rehab assignment for a shoulder injury.

If Ensberg is available, acquire him. By God, please, just hurry up and get him.

    This mumbo is killing me.

How about what BBTN was smoking earlier when they mentioned a 4 team deal, that involved you guys getting Lowell and giving up Linebrink... or Chris Young

Steve Phillips has been getting into Michael Irvin's locker.
    Marshall: MILSWANCAs?

ESPN's Steve Phillips said the Rangers have offered Hank Blalock to the Astros for Brad Lidge.
The two sides might be discussing various deals. Baseball Prospectus' Will Carroll says the Rangers have offered Brad Wilkerson and Rod Barajas for Lidge, Morgan Ensberg and Fernando Nieve, something that seems too lopsided for Texas. If the Astros took Blalock for Lidge, they could then send Ensberg to San Diego for Scott Linebrink, with either Linebrink or Dan Wheeler closing. The Rangers would probably make Lidge a setup man for Akinori Otsuka if they got him.

Makes more sense than this mystery 4 team blockbuster.

Now it seems Ensberg might be involved in the Blalock for Lidge deal.
Wlikerson, Blalock and Barajas for Ensberg, Lidge and Nieve. This would then able the Astros to trade Taveras to the Marlins if the Rnagers would be so dumb.

According to FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal, the Astros weren't interested in the Padres' offer of Scott Linebrink and either Mark Bellhorn or Geoff Blum for Morgan Ensberg.
The Astros are open to moving Ensberg in a Miguel Tejada trade, but they'd prefer to keep him than include him in a lesser deal. Rosenthal suggests that will only change if the Padres want to discuss Khalil Greene.

I'd also go ballistic over a Khalil/Ensberg swap.
