    I was watching the Boston/Anaheim game today and Steve Phillips was reporting that the Astros were going to send Brad Lidge to Texas for 3B Hank Blalock, Houston would then send Morgan Ensberg to San Diego for Scott Linebrink who would step into the closer role for the Astros.

    The Boston Herald is reporting a three-team trade rumor that would send Mike Lowell to San Diego and bring Ryan Shealy to Boston.

    Intresting concept, although I don't see why this wouldn't be done already if something was going to happen.

    The Mets are talking with San Diego about a deal in which they would trade Perez and right-hander Heath Bell to the Padres for setup man Scott Linebrink. The Padres, who acquired reliever Scott Williamson from the Cubs last week, could use Bell in their bullpen.
