we're pretty much done with this, but i'll end with the concept that he appears to not have needed that much time to readjust.

the people I refer to don't exactly walk around blind and happy because they were too busy calling for KT's head for having the audacity to sign those contracts.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you haven't made any fresh observations in this thread since you first brought up your concerns over the 3B situation; at least nothing fresh enough to merit even a shred of thought in the manner.

I'm sorry Walker is our third baseman, I really am. However, I am not as sorry as I would be if Vinny was still our third baseman, nor if we had overspent for a player such as Lowell or Beltre etc.

Walker for free really isn't that bad.

and I hate to be the bearer of further bad news by telling you that I'm being prompted by questions and comments which also haven't changed.....and sticking to my initial beliefs is exactly what I plan to do......I'm not the kind of person to flip/flop around and try and play both sides of a debate....but when asked for it, I will give my opinion or thoughts....

I could give a shit if you think anything is fresh or new.....but since you responded you must be reading......if you're not interested or you think it's redundant......don't read the thread

    Padres

Todd Walker is NOT a bad player, he was put into an almost impossible situation by Kevin Towers and fortunately, Walker has not played that badly since he joined the club. Loyalty to one player got in the way of Towers not making the moves that he should have made to bury the rest of the division. With the amount of salary that this team is freeing up at the end of the season, if Towers and the Padres front office does not use the money to make this team better, than a change needs to be made.

Nobody has said Walker is a bad player have they?....In fact the exact opposite....I think we all think he's a good 2nd baseman, solid 1st, and a very good bench player, but he's not a 3bag.........and should never have been asked to step in during a pennant race and play that position....

other than the fact that I don't think aquiring Betimit would've "burried the rest of the division" I can't argue against anything said in this post.

As long as he continues to prove he can handle the bag your arguments against him become invalid.

(that said, has he made errors yesterday or today? I wasn't able to watch either.)

well, if he made a "critical error" the scorekeepers are dumb because the box score said zero errors for the Padres as a whole.
