    Oakland GM Voting

This is a public poll and only votes from GM's in this league will be counted. The poll will close two days from now and the new GM will be determined by the votes.

I would like to formally toss my name in the Hat as Oakland GM. About 5 days ago when I decided I could take on a team. I did a detailed analysis of the teams I was told where not active. these teams being . LA,OAK,CHC.

Oakland has a good farm system. And needs to go into complete rebuild mode. I have a better than good understanding of OOTP and baseball in General. I have a good working relationship with alot of the GM's already in this league.

The reason the A's have failed is becasue they have not been managed. With an active poster (me) and someone with framiliarity with the league and OOTP I think the team can rebound.

I am officially throwing my hat into the ring for Oakland GM. My internship is done, so I have a lot of free time. I have a history with the league and know how the league works. I think that I can do the job right.

    Thanks.

I think I should be a manager of the A's because first and foremost, because I'd like to think I know a lot about baseball.

I try to play realistically, and don't plan on making nonsensical trades or signings. I'm also big on the idea of rebuilding a team. I don't think it'd be as fun to be just handed the a first place squad that someone else built.

Another reason I think I'd be a good manager of the A's is because I know OOTP. I've played around with it since the beginning of this league (I've actually followed this league for quite some time, as I've known Hammer and another person who was once in this league a long time ago. Thanks to this league, I actually purchased OOTP.) and I know how it all works and whatnot. I run my own dynasties and stuff in my free time. And a little useless fact: I'm a Cubs fan.

I hope to be voted new GM of the A's, and if I am, I look foward to joining you all soon. Thanks.

aside from nick being my friend... this would also be his first crack. some new blood would be nice, as opposed to the same old guys who leave after 3-4 sims.

Redsfan doesn't seem to be a 12 year old twerp, and he likes NASCAR, thus my vote for him.

I got no clue who to vote for. I selfishly prefer someone who gives a big "Hell No" to throwing the Athletics' season away for the highest draft pick.

Always great to see some new blood in the league. It seems Nick is pretty knowledgable.

Nick, sold me when he mentioned he purchased the game and runs his own franchises, you learn the most about this game when you actually see all the numbers and how everything works right in front of you.

Worked well enough, since the voting is closed and he is not the leading votegetter!

I guess I should have mentioned that I have the game as well. Probably would have won.
