A very hollow award after what he has doen to us in the postseason the last 2 series but congrats anyway, it's what he plays for:

A great baseball player rightfully gets his award. Besides Pujols, any GM would take A-Rod over any other player in baseball. Congrats to A-Rod!

Should we be celebrating his award? It's hard to even feel good that a Yankee won this award after what he did in the postseason. Winning is more important than individual awards, I'll be more impressed when he contributes to a Championship team.

Why'd you care so much that Mo didn't win the Cy Young this year then?

Should I find a year that the Mick didn't hit in the World Series?

It's happened. It's proof that he's not clutch.

What's your point? He also came through ALOT which ARod has never done for us. If he had credibility built up that would be one thing. I forgive Mariano for '01 & '04 b/c he did so much to help us win 4 but ARod doesn't have that YET, when he does I'll forgive him.

B/c marinao is an all-time great Yankee and deserved the Award. Mariano helped us win 4 World Championships and 6 AL Pennants and is one of the classiest guys in all of sports(not that ARod isn't classy but mariano is a down to Earth good guy, I got a chacne to work out w/ him in the offseason last year and he couldn't have been a nicer guy)

    Ah, personal bias.

The Yankees have not won the World Series in the two years since Alex Rodriguez joined the team. They also haven't won a World Series in the three years prior to Rodriguez joining the team.

    Maybe it's not him.

Yeah but they were IN the World Series the year before ARod got here and IN the World Series 2 of the 3 years before he got here.

    Maybe it is him?

Showing up to the World Series means nothing.

    Real winners win.

It's still better to win AL pennants than to go out in the ALCS and ALDS and ARod has never stepped foot in the WS- EXCEPT for the sham all-time Latino team thing they did this year at the WS.
