Prospect Kennedy robbed of AAA no-hitter

Needing one out to finish his no-hitter and 1-0 win, Ian Kennedy got Richmond’s Barbaro Canizares to ground to second base.

Forget it. Chris Basak’s second error of the night extended the game. Scott Thorman then cracked a double and another error allowed the tying run to score. That is brutal.

Kennedy has pitched very well of late (9 ER in his last 33.1 innings) and could be getting back in the mix.

Good to see Kennedy dealing well in AAA. I still think there should be at least one more option before him for coming back to the majors, judging by the way he's pitched this season, but at least he seems to have has confidence back.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

He seems like one of those guys who is too good for Triple-A but not good enough for the majors. Put him in Quadruple-A with Dallas McPherson.

There are many players in this category. Darnell McDonald of the Twins appears to be overmatched when he is promoted, but is tearing up the IL. The Angels had a prospect a few years back, Larry Barnes, that this term would apply to as well.
Then there are players like Alexi Casilla who really wasn't playing particularly well in AAA that is now doing adequately in the bigs.
If I knew what makes a good major leaguer, I would be a well-paid scout for some team, but I cannot say why some guys make it and others do not.

he's still a bit young to put him in that category DK. He's only really had 1 long stint in the majors, so he still has plenty of time to prove himself

To be fair, DK did say "he seems like" as opposed to "he is".
