The American League is god awful minus the Orioles and Rangers.

The attempt to switch the balance of power has been difficult with lack of trade partners and Orioles/Rangers being literally stacked.

The in-fighting in the AL Central can't go undervalued as this will be the toughest division in 3 seasons. Despite the chronic inconsistency of the Twins, they still have a stranglehold. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Baltimore's long rebuild is well documented. You have just come back on the scene at the time we are peaking. If we didn't contract this year, I don't think I would have contended until next year. Especially, if DH had paid more attention... I'd still be behind the Yanks. That said, I don't think I've ever been happier with a 5 year outlook, especially after a pending trade is approved.

That "chronic inconsistency" has plagued me for 30 years now. Different players, same story. I've got a dream Pitching staff but my damn offense decides to take the year off. Hernandez had 40 Hrs and 160 Rbis last year. He wont come close to those numbers and that hurts alot. Well it didnt help he wasout for 5 weeks, but theres a pretty big drop off regardless. Bah.

One sim in and I already regret trading Cooper. The only piece I really cared about already had two declines and at 7-7-8 potential, I can almost always find a better SP in the leftover FA round. I knew he was fringe-good so I am not shocked, but these post-trade declines are always a kick in the balls.

the Pirates offense is coming along nicely and with the additions of guys like Max Mendez and Earle Combs next season, it should be even better next year.

If the Pirates solve the pitching, it's game over.

LA continues to figure out someway to win. From 1 game up to 4 games up. I fear no one even with a 6-5 record vs St. Louis. I wont catch Porter's Army in Wins but I can at least make sure I don't play him in Rd 1 if I can win the division. Time for some reinforcements with September 1 coming up including a new catcher who's better with the d than the current Mike Piazza that OOTP used. Mariscal makes his debut next sim.
