He will be out for ST and so April will be his ST. I don't expect an effective Gallardo until mid-May.

With this injury, The Brewers may use him out of the pen til he is ready to start. This will also allow him to get some work in as well.

    Round Two:

The Milwaukee Brewers signed Russell Branyan today. It is a 0ne-year minor league contract.

Hey, here is a thought, lets add another strikeout 3B/OF to the roster. eeeerrrrr...

Sometimes I just want to bang my head against the wall with some of these dumb ars roster moves/signings the Brewers make. Absolutely waste of a roster position and $$$$!!!!

Branyan can hit homeruns and that's all they want him for. Its only a minor league contract. Best case scenario is he starts the season in AAA.

Best case scenario, he is released! I know he can hit HR's, but he K's twice as much. The Brewers need to quit living and dying by the HR all the time. The need to learn, be coached on how to manufacture runs better, especially when the bats a slumping.

Now it sounds like your talking Mike Cameron.

I am seeing positiveas and negatives here, to be honest it is a dumb signing but he could be used as a pinch hitter every so often...OK I CONFESS HE USED TO BE MY FAVOURATE PLAYER WHEN HE PLAYED FOR US!...now ima go hide and never show my face again :P

Mike Cameron fits in this category of all or nothing swing as well.

I agree Brewers19. He needs to be up with the club and in the lineup on a consistent basis. This will show case his potential.

I think Gwynn Jr. is a nice guy to start the season in CF as Cameron sits out his 25 games. I do not think he is ready to be a full-time starter. Another route Yost could go is play Branyan at third and Hall in CF but thinks its best served to keep Hall at third.

Branyan sucks. Why in the world did they re-sign this guy. It is time to hang them up Branyan.
