Brewers just do not want to break up their youth. They have been patient and now they want the chance to reap their rewards.

As for Kendall, he may not hit much, but he is much better defensively than Estrada. To the defense of Kendall, He did hit pretty good with Cubs. He could be a potential #2 or even #7 hitter in the lineup. I really hope the Brewers leave J.J. in the 8 hole.

    Whoopie Ding.....

Brewers Gabe "flippin'" Kapler to a one-year contract. I hope I can regret this later in the year and be excited about this signing then. Right Now, YUCK!!!!

I read on ESPN an article from the Milwuakee Sentinal-Journal, that the Brewers have Luis Gonzalez and Kenny Lofton on their radar to be the left-handed hitter they are seeking and to play LF. Both of whom, have a good walk-to-strikeout ratio.

IMO, I would still like to see this OF for the Brewers next year,

    LF- BILL HALL

    CF- TONY GYWNN, JR

    RF- COREY HART

As reserve outfielders, they could get Gonzo or Lofton, Maybe Gabe Gross, and fill in with Joe Dillon at times. That is the problem in my opinion, Yost feels he has to many options and has a quick trigger finger to play too many players. To Dusty Baker-like for me. Lets stick with a regular lineup, (see the Yankees, Red Sox for example). Pretty much play the same players on a regular basis.

That would be a great outfield for making great plays.

Personally, that is who should get first crack at the outfield for the 2008 season.

Yeah, Shouse does a good enough job getting out lefties in our bullpen.

Brewers and Claudio Vargas agreed to a 1-year deal today. This does NOT make me happy. I will be very happy to be wrong about this signing. But it is a mistake!!!

    WASTE OF MONEY!!!!!

Brewers agreed to terms with Chris Capuano for one-year at 3.75 million dollars.

I have not given up on Capuano just yet. I think now that the Brewers have re-signed him, will give him that extra confidence he was looking for from Milwaukee. I look for Cappy to have a big year, and be a valuable contributor to this year's ball club!!!

Hardy and Bush are both asking for 3 million per year. The Brewers are not very close in with their counter offers. We shall see, stay tuned Brewers' fans!!! Keeping my fingers crossed here.
