Yanks continue to just grasp at things to try and plug up holes that shouldnt be there with more than 200 million dollar payroll. Bellhorn is hitting .213 this year, with 1 k every 2.5 at bats. This is an average move at best, at worst they get another Bret Boone type player. Its not looking good if Yanks expect Mark Bellhorn to be their post season roster.

This is an absolutely terrible move by the Yankees. Bellhorn couldn't even beat out Joey Cora for the starting job in Boston...that's all you need to know. He has 109 Ks in 283 at-bats and a .688 OPS. Bellhorn sucks vs. lefties - .232 AVG. He sucks vs righties - .202 AVG. This guy contributes nothing to the Yankees, he's a worse pickup than Alan "7.04 ERA" Embree.

I’m selling this. Cano should be their everyday guy at 2B. I agree with Slyder about the Boone statement. When Boone was traded to the Twins, the only 2B who had a worse AVG was Bellhorn. Cano has played in 102 games this year, Bellhorn only 86, and guess who has more K’s. That would be Bellhorn. You know when the Yanks are having a bad year when this is not the first, but second horrible pick up from players that Boston has dropped.

Circular logic aside, Mr Mims, you have yet to provide a single credible reason why you are, in fact, hot.

Well right now he is, but I’m going to have to sell, because when Schilling is doing well he can’t stop talking. Last year in the playoffs, we all remember the Sox beating the Yanks, Schill being lights out in Game 6, and after that series, he couldn’t shut up. This season, he just hasn’t played well when healthy, and has been plagued with injuries all year, so he can’t really talk right now; but if he is healthy in the playoffs, you’ll be hearing him talk again. Wells just voiced his mind, and he can do that with the protection of the players union in this game.

I don't think Wells is just the biggest mouth on the Red Sox...he's the biggest mouth in baseball right now. The guy has voiced off numerous times this year on the commissioner on basically every issue in the game. The All-Star tie, steroid testing, his suspension; said Wells, "I can't wait to see him when we win the World Series." Yes, Schilling is a big talker when things go well, but David isn't afraid to voice his thoughts no matter how things are going for both him and the team. He's a bigger talker than Millaaaaaaaaa too, because all Millar does is sing karaoke and act like a drunk guy nonstop...Wells probably is drunk nonstop.

Buy, but I want to take this to a new level. Wells isnt just the biggest talker in baseball he is the second biggest talker in the major sports second only to Terrell Owens.

Everywhere hes gone hes talked. He went so far as to say he pitched the perfect game hung over. This is just the latest in a long string of events. He's just one of those that regardless of where he is you always just gotta follow the yap. I hope to see the two jerks (Bud and Wells) together on a celebrity Survivor. My money be on Wells cause he can live off that fat for years, buds a twig.

I'm going to have to sell this for a few reasons. One, the Phillies play in the best division in baseball, the NL East...25 of their last 31 games are against teams from that division. The Phillies also end the season with 12 out of 15 on the road, and they are a mediocre 30-33 away from Philly this season. Another reason - the Marlins and Astros both have more talent than Philadelphia. The Phils have done a nice job with what they have this year, but no team in baseball can top Houston's Big Three of Clemens, Oswalt, and Pettite...not to mention Houson plays 12 of its last 32 games against teams with losing records and gets to feast on the likes of Pittsburgh and Milwaukee. The Astros will take the wild card in the National League.
