You're right.. someone who cheats on their wife by banging their secretary: "You only talk about the one day I did it, not the three months before where I was faithful!!" Wow...

To me, it does know benefit to have the list released.

Fairly deserved, when you criticized Bonds(who hasn't yet to test positive) and the Giants fans for rooting him on, you deserved the criticism when Merriman tested positive.

I hear you, but they're hitting the nail on the head on ESPN right now.

It's damaging to the game for them to stretch it out the way they're doing.

Ideally they shouldn't have released any names, but because they are coming out it's better to just rip the proverbial band aid off right away instead of constantly keeping it in the news like this.

I guess. I'd rather them somehow guarantee that no more names get out at all...

To CJ: You're in denial so bad. This happened with A-Rod and they were exactly right.

To GF: Stories happening in baseball are NOT bigger than this right now. It's definitely the biggest story happening right now. And to be honest I wish they could sue someone about this too. I wish it never came out. But now that pieces are coming out, I agree with Hollywood, I wish they'd just release the whole list.

Also to GF: The NY Times occasionally makes mistakes just like any other media outlet. Unless you can come up with a slew of mistakes they've made recently, one example doesn't mean they're not credible. Their one of the most credible sources I know of.

To Prov: After Manny tested positive, I said on my show that I'd put money on Ortiz using. It's just too obvious. Bill Simmons said it is a distinct possibility too.

I couldn't agree more with this statement.

I agree too, but for people like me....I mean, I'm not saying it would happen, but I'd be MORTIFIED if like Mike Piazza was on that list. It's bad, but I'd rather just not know. The only way I can see myself excepting them releasing the whole list is if someone actually sues for their name previously being released(A-Rod, Ortiz, Manny, etc), forcing the list "owners" to release all names to make it even....

I'd also like to get laid by Eva Longoria, but thats not going to happen either. too many people know, and as they say in the lawyer/news/government world: if two people know a secret, its only a secret when one is dead.

The only way news like this stops is by releasing the entire list. Let each player on the list be dealt with individually and move on.

The newspapers need money. They no longer report news, they report scandals. I haven't read a newspaper for news in many years. I get my news online.
