Molina has thrown out 26% of potential basestealers (7-of-26) vs 32% for Soto (11-of-34).

Right now I would take Molina over McCann and Soto right now. But of course I'm a Giants fan and you are a Cubs fan so we don;t see eye to eye. If anything, its a wash but I would take Molina and think he is more deserving given the teasm they play for.
I don't think the teams they play for should have anything to do with it.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

Please tell me this is sarcasm.

edit: Please tell me it isn't sarcasm. I missed the "should" when I first made this post.

Ouch! Read that one wrong. You're right.

why would it be sarcasm? I agree, it's all about individual performance, not team performance. otherwise, they would vote teams in and not players

    A. Teams with better players makes it a lot easier to succeed individually.
    B. If the team doesn't matter, why is the AL filled with Red Sox?
    C. When you try to compare stats as ERA plus like rockin did, you have to account for the team.
    D. Molina is kicking ass on a shitty team, playing better than most catchers and getting zero love. Please tell me the team has nothing to do with it. If it were based on performance, Molina would be top 2 in voting.

My fault, I was being illiterate there and missed the "should" portion of his post, which completely changed the entire context of the statement.

The team SHOULD have nothing to do with it. But it does. Another reason why fans shouldn't vote

Thank God that fans don't vote for the pitchers. Atleast they're getting something right by letting the managers/coaches choose their AS pitching staffs.

Not unless the Soriano/Fukudome/Griffey outfield changes!

I will take the current NL team over the AL Sox/Yanks team everyday of the week.

Magglio Ordonez should be in the running for OF.
