Sosa has 4 grand slams this spring. Might he actually be relevant again?

Looking good so far for Sosa.

Did any of you have a chance to make it to spring training this year?

If you did you would have seen a Sosa that looks to be in great shape, not much, if any, smaller than he was in years past.

Also take a look at the injury Sosa had his year in Baltimore. Its called a staff infection and it was antibiotic resistant. If you can't stand up its kind of hard to play the game at the level we were used to seeing Sosa play at. Plus he was 35-36 and every one except the steroid and HGH Freak, Bonds, has started declining in production at that age.

This spring Sosa has hit well, but it is still Spring ball, not regular season. He still seems vulnerable against righties, especially ones with good off speed stuff thrown outside. He never could lay off the sliders and change ups.

He has proven he still has plenty of pop in his bat. In one game he hit a home run over the batters eye in straightaway center. 450+ feet.

The Rangers are saying he'll play regularly and if he can add 20+ hrs and hit even .250-.260 he will be the biggest bargain in baseball.

I agree.. I feel like he is a phony. I have lost respect for him from his last few years as a Cubs, and I am not a Cubs fan. Just got sick of him. It all about Sammy in his eyes, didn't want to do what was best for his team, just himself!
