Blue Jays acquire Overbay from Brewers

    http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/5148464

The Blue Jays moved to address their offense Wednesday night, acquiring first baseman Lyle Overbay and a prospect from the Brewers in exchange for right-hander David Bush, outfielder Gabe Gross and Class AAA left-hander Zach Jackson, FOXsports.com has learned.
I am not in favour of this deal at all right now

i love this deal for milwaukee. gabe gross mashed pitching in spring training... which isnt a far barometer, i realize, but its the best i got... and david bush was beastly 2 years ago, but had his sophomore slump this year. nonetheless, i expect him to bounce back. and they got them both for a guy... who they really didnt want or need anymore, with sir prince coming up.

it wasn't even Bush's fault for his slump, he was getting no run support at all, losing some games like 1-0 and 2-1

So who plays first? Overbay or Hillenbrand? This boosts their offense but not a lot. it is going to be nice seeing Prince Fielder play everyday as I have been waiting to see him everyday for a while.

The Brewers just keep adding to that young talent... they're going to be a force for quite awhile. I dig this deal for them.

And Zach Jackson does kick ass.

What the hell got into Doug Melvin's Kool-Aid? He "used to be" horrible. Now, he's the best GM in the league...

Hillenbrand will spilt time at DH/3B/1B
Overbay will spilt time at 1B and DH
Koskie will spilt time at 3B and DH

Aaron Hill will get in at DH/3B/SS/2B too once in a while

And what about Eric Hinske? Man, you guys have a serious logjam going on. I'd suppose there's another trade or two planned.

trade him to whoever wants him for free just get his ass out of Toronto

I heard Baltimore has come calling for Hinske

also Batista is still with the Jays and his name has been brought up a lot recently, but unlike Hinske, Batista has value around the league somehow
