    ALex Sanchez DFNYY

    Giants designated outfielder Alex Sanchez for assignment.
    Sanchez had been on the DL since July 24. We imagine that another team will want him as a pinch-hitter. He's not a good outfielder, but his ability to hit singles does give him some value off the bench.
