straight out of the horses mouth

Narron on 700 WLW right now:

"I like guys who know how to play the game. That's why Rich Aurilia is one of my favorite players, because he is a guy that knows how to play the game."

What exactly does that mean Narron? I do not like people having a catch phrase as an excuse to like a player. Every pro baseball player knows how to play the game. So what do you mean Narron?

He think Rich is "gritty" and "tough" and works hard to not make mistakes and execute the "little things." Unfortunately, Jerry doesn't seem to understand that the "little things" don't matter if you aren't that great to begin with!

Homer: We're proud of you, boy.

Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.

I like guys who can do the big things, personally. Like play defense and hit on the road, neither of which Aurilia can do.
