Our brilliant manager removed Edwin because he didn't leave the batter's box for a routine pop out. Edwin seemed to think the ball was a foul behind home and even looked that way when he hit it as though he thought that were the case.

Castro is now in his place at 3B and hitting cleanup.

Good i dont want any player on the field that doesn't hussle on every play. He's been slumping anyways. Good move Narron.

Terrible move by a terrible manager.

He was looking for the ball (as I added to my post) and didn't see it until it was almost caught. He thought it was a foul ball and players don't usually run on foul balls. And he's in an 0-10 "slump" if you want to call it that. If he were slumping that much, why was he hitting cleanup tonight? Castro hitting cleanup is never a wise decision.

well it was a move made to prove a point to the whole team. Narron means business and he only wants the players out there that will give 100 %. If he couldn't find the ball right in front of him then he needs more help than being benched.

    Re: Random Reds Rumblings

The ball looked foul. That's the thing.

Narron rushed to judgment and didn't think of the consequences of batting Castro cleanup when the team is having enough trouble scoring Runs right now as it is.

At the very LEAST(I still would not like it) he should have sat Edwin tomorrow so we didn't have to have Castro batting cleanup for the majority of a game the team needs to win.

I'm sorry guys Ive jinxed us this series...

Game 1 I turn it on FoxSports Pittsburgh tied 2-2 first batter up??? Orlando Hudson hits the game winning HR.
Game 2 I turn it on in extra innings, next thing game over.
Game 3 I turn it on as the game starts and well we were trailing. I got the picture and turned it off LoL.

    Re: Random Reds Rumblings

I feel that even if we lose this game because of this decision it may pay dividends later. Narron is finally being that disciplinarian we have all been looking for. Granted, Castro batting cleanup is never a good choice. I would have stuck Freel at 3B and brought Griffey in to play RF and moved Hamilton to CF.

But I can't hate this if it means this team will be less lazy later on. Not saying EdE was lazy, I know major league hitters don't haul butt out of the batter's box after hitting a foul ball, but Narron still might be making a strong point. Perhaps the wrong time? I guess I could agree with that. But it is a very good move from a manager that is known to be a "player's manager."

    Danget Slyder!

DO NOT WATCH THE REST OF THIS GAME!

Try watching at the beginning of the game and see if that turns your luck around.

I think it's a blatantly awful move by Narron.

It's not like Edwin is known to lack effort. I don't think sitting him will do anything but hurt the team.
