Indians Game XX: Reds at Astros - Aaron Harang's Return to Glory

Reds shake up the lineup! Rolen hits cleanup, Phillips and Bruce get moved up, O-Cab moves down.

Will this be Aaron Harang's return to glory? Or his return to the glory hole?

This is the kind of lineup I have wanted to see since we acquired Rolen. I know Rolen has lost some pop over the years, but I have always thought he would be a better fit for the cleanup spot and Phillips to be in the 2 hole. In this particular lineup I would like to see Gomes hit 6th and Cabrera hit 7th, but I am interested in seeing if this will be a somewhat standard lineup card for the next few games and seeing what output this lineup might yield.

Now, having said all of that.......For the love of God pitchers, get some batters out or at least at a quicker rate then you have been.

This is Harang's make or break start. If he can turn it around tonight, then fine. If he's still garbage tonight as he has been all season, then its time to move him somewhere where he can either figure it out or not hurt this team.

Dusty supposedly went to discuss a contract extension today. You guys think the sudden lineup smarts have something to do with it?

Harang had a shaky first inning fellas...

But he did strike out Berkman! That shocked me to be honest.

Lee is 2-2 tonight so far. We let ice cold hitters warm up to south of the equator temps.

Harang with a big strikeout on Berkman. Pitch count isn't great, but he is through three with only one run allowed.

Got Berkman the second time! Nice! Pitch count hasn't been good for any starter all year though. Lets hope the bullpen doesn't blow it because this may be a close one. I would love to see Harang show us more tonight though...

Hanigan with his second base stealer nabbing of the game! This one in the form of Michael Bourn. Both times Lance Berkman was up. Hanigan for MVP!

Can he please be the full-time catcher already? Why is Ramon Hernandez still around? Hanigan's bat = beasting

    Harang's night is done. 6 IP 8 H 2 ER 1 BB 6 SO.

Not a bad line. The hits still have to come down as he pitched his way out of a lot of tough jams. I am glad he had a decent outing though. He definitely was pitching inside again and that was key. I think Harang is building a new case for himself.

It was against the Astros, but the Astros did have Berkman. Eitherway, it was a good bounceback outing and hopefully this builds his confidence back up.

I agree man, but knowing Dusty, this too will take quite a long time for him to figure out.
