Mahlom's fastball is up and down the middle now. He has started Griffey off with a fastball out in the 1st inning, then a fastball in in the 3rd inning. Both were called strikes.

Griffey is the only lefty in the lineup, so I would look fastball for the first pitch. Especially since he did hit the curveball in the 3rd.

Harang has settled down but he is not striking anyone out. Still not used to seeing him like this as he is getting hit hard just right at fielders.

I agree, this is very un-Harang like. He's been getting knocked around a lot this season. He is a K pitcher and needs to get back to his style. He's been very lucky with run support this season.

We actually had a few DPs tonight to back him up and no errors (yet) so he is looking better than it would be if a lot of these balls that are hit hard land.
