Also, thats two weeks in a row that we ended the show not with a match, but with a promo. Well Heyman and Lesnar will go down as one of the top 10 of all time, this weeks, not so much.

    Re: Official WWE Thread

With cuts likely coming tomorrow, I figured I'd throw up a list of guys I would let go...

    - Adam Rose (It's just no working, and he's not good in ring, no reason to keep him.)

    - Alberto Del Rio (He's leaving anyway, let him go back to Mexico now.)

    - Big Show (Special appearances are fine, no reason to keep him on a talent contract.)

    - David Otunga (Not using him, why pay him?)

    - The Colons/Los Matadores (Torito included. A bunch of guys can do better.)

    - Fandango (It's too bad, too.)

    - Great Khali (Duh.)

    - Mark Henry (Sorry Mark, you can't hack the full schedule anymore.)

    - R-Truth (Why is he still there? What's up isn't even over anymore.)

    - Rey Mysterio (I was done 6 years ago on him.)

    - Rob Van Dam (Special appearances are fine, but he's useless as an every week guy.)

    - Zack Ryder (He's not over anymore.)

    - Alicia Fox (Meh.)

    - Layla (Meh.)

    - Tamina (She's hurt, but still meh.)

    - Alex Riley and Booker T (Use injured guys/legends/road agents on the preshow if you want to continue it.

    - Mojo Rawley (Seriously? Why?)

    - Jojo (Quit wasting money.)

    - A trainer (Keirn, Taylor, Smiley...one of them can go. Probably Rooster.)

    - Brad Maddox (Still employed, why not just do the inevitible and let him go. Or turn him back into a ref. No one really cares, though.)

Other guys that I would cut, but definitely won't lose their jobs are: Jerry Lawler, JBL(Move Regal up to Raw, it's not rocket science), Cameron/Rosa Mendes(Both on Total Divas, they aren't going anywhere).

Ricardo got unbearable once ADR turned face and then they split so he could remain face.

He had a short stint with Kalisto in NXT which I thought worked well, though. But now they have Kalisto with Hun Cara

If you would have told me a few months ago that Jack Swagger and Cesaro would be opening a show with a match against each other I'd have bet a paycheck that it would have been after Cesaro turned face.

I'm still on the Invasion kick.

I mean, can you imagine NWO vs. DX, Sting vs. Taker, Austin vs. Goldberg, Rock vs. .......whoever is left

I know DX is a stretch because I'm only kinda sure Michaels was broken at this point, but still.

    Rock v. DDP : People's Champ v. People's Champ might have worked.

    Rock/Booker is another option.

    NWO vs DX
    Steiners vs E&C
Hardys vs Lance Storm/Chris Jericho (heel)
    Sting vs Taker
    Austin vs Goldberg
    Rock vs DDP

Now THATS a PPV worth paying for!

That PPV has negative value with the inclusion of 2001 Rick Steiner in any capacity.

I hate the Invasion as much as anyone, Leo and I have had many a discussion about it, but, there was a small problem that a lot of the guys didn't want to jump ship and wanted to sit home and get paid by Time Warner instead of take any form of paycuts. I forget who exactly but Goldberg definitely was one of them.

Oh I know, that's why you do a better job trying to keep its own brand than have Buff Bagwell in the first WCW match that got boo'd out of the f'ing building. I probably would have brought Rey Mysterio or a couple of the other cruiserweights to have a feud with Jericho, X Pac, Eddie, etc and try to keep WCW a little pure of what it meant to the fans. Then when the big fish started becoming available (at the end of their Time Warner contracts) you do the Invasion angle right with the dream matches everyone would love to see over the course of a year and buy your own printing press.

I think that sounds like nWo (Hall, Nash, Hogan) and Luger. Sting didn't come because he didn't want to risk his character (and he saw what they did to Booker T). There was still bad blood with the Hart family, I think Vince would rather have the entire thing go belly up than ever deal with Jarrett again.
