I guess you could throw Flair in that group as well (and Flair will probably be the next one to drop, sadly). I was more looking at the big 3 names (Hogan, Savage, Warrior).

There's a lot of wrasslin going on in Heaven.

    EDIT: Too late on snark.

if there were a Mt Rushmore of Wrestlers, it's be Hogan, Rock, Austin, and Flair. Flair's easily in that big name group, and definitely bigger than Warrior.

    Hogan - Yes
    Austin - Yes
    Flair - Yes
    Rock - NO

The Rock was good to great, but he wasn't even close to any of the other ones mentioned. Honestly, there's two or three I would put on the list before Rock. If you go by next-level in-ring entertainer, then Undertaker and HBK would go up there before Rock. If you go by straight number of titles, then Cena and Triple H have to be in the conversation.

If he's going in ring, Hogan isn't on there, either.

Rock fits because of his mainstream crossover. One could argue Flair would be the guy to go, if any of them do. (Bruno, Andre, Vince all have cases for what they meant for Pro Wrestling.)

    Re: Official WWE Thread

In-ring should be Flair, HBK, Austin, and Undertaker

Crossover value would be Hogan, Rock, Cena, and probably Jericho

Number of titles would be Flair, Triple H, Cena, Edge

Vince would be on there, but he's not really a wrestler

If you go technical wrestlers, it's Angle, pre-UFC Brock, Benoit, and Malenko

Bray Wyatt actually wouldn't have been a bad idea.

I don't mind it so much now based on the details. The streak ender would be under a lot of pressure and no one really fit the bill. Punk may have, but if you're Vince, do you give that to Punk with his unpredictability? So long as Brock still looks strong, they can use him in a lesser but similar stature.

If he were less green, that was my pick. If Taker could have held out until 31 (if not Sting) or 32 (if Sting) Wyatt would have been perfect. The timing now just didn't tickle me though.

I think they really left money on the table by not running Cena/Taker last year, but whatever.

As for using Bray, I wouldn't have been against it, but you don't want to end up with another Sheamus situation there.

    Re: Official WWE Thread

I think it would have been perfect.

Most people are saying if they were to break it it should have been used to put someone young over, but the favorite example is Roman Reigns or someone like that.

We pointed out earlier in the thread that that could actually risk killing his heat because he's ending the favorite's streak and now he might get booed.

But with Wyatt it'd make sense both in his character and in putting him over.

Facing him against Cena they almost painted themselves into a corner because they made the storyline about Cena's legacy not getting killed and now he almost has to win even though that screws with Bray's steam. Plus, they're still pushing Bray as a heel but since he's against Cena naturally half the crowd cheers him just because he's against Cena. Add that to the people who cheer because they're smarks and like his character and the boos aren't as loud as they should be.

Put him against Taker and let him not give a shit about Taker's mind games because he plays his own, then he does the unthinkable and now you have a super villain.
