National League N.L. Cy Young, potential repeat?

The N.L. is looking at several decent contenders.... that are barely over .500. The top ten for ERA has 3 rookies, a guy named Wandy, and Javier Vazquez. Two have 10 losses, 3 more are closing in on double digit losses.

Then consider Johan Santana isn't in the conversation do to injury and being on the mets. Yeah, it's a weird group, but it probably comes down to 3-4 guys. Guess we'll find out.

*I'm not going to list Happ, Kershaw, or Wells since they're way behind everyone in innings.

If Carpenter pitched the whole season hed be the only guy I can really make an argument for.

Wainwright has the wins, but his ERA is .3 higher and he has about 80 less strike outs than Timmy.

Lincecum ought to win it again. Carpenter's margin in ERA was fielding dependent.

Matt Cain? Dude has tanked in the second half. I'm going Wainwright just to switch it up a bit. WW has been a beast.

I'm sticking with Carpenter. I think just because he missed a bit of time (and not much) due to injury shouldn't hurt him (no pun intended). Dude's kicking everyone's ass every time he's on that mound.

Even with a stint on the DL, Carpenter is still near 200ip and has a fantastic WHIP, he's not going away from this award I don't think

I voted Lincecum but Wainwright is deserving. If the giants had Pujols and Holliday, this wouldn't be a debate as to who the Cy Young front runner would be, as Lincecum would be near 20 wins.

If Ubaldo Jimenez wins the CY, that would make all 5 NL West teams would have CY winner this decade.
