Manny is by far the best. Although Adam Dunn and Orlando Hudson might be more appealing due to their lack of character issues.

Based on pure stuff, I went with Ben Sheets. I know he comes with a huge injury risk but on a two year deal, I find him to be the best guy to really change a team's pitching staff and team. Why the Brewers aren't re-signing this guy is beyond me. I hope the Rangers get him.

    Manny-LA

Pitching wise, I'd take Sheets or Oliver Perez. It's hard to choose there because they both have their faults. Sheets is never healthy and Perez is 50/50.

I wouldn't mind if the Astros brought in either one, but although they REALLY need a SP, ownership has already said they won't be adding another free agent SP.

Drayton McClane is a cheap bastard.

Juan Cruz is the best player available compared to what else is available in the middle relief market. I'm surprised he doesn't have more suitors

He's a Type A free agent and will command a high price tag. Only reason I can see why teams are balking at the chance to get him but I agree, he is the best available reliever.

I went with Manny with LAD or NYY because no one else is willing to give up the $. The Dodgers obviously want him, and the Yankees are already on a roll for signing the top free agents.
He is the best, but Ben Sheets is up there too. I am surprised that Sheets has gotten little, to no coverage this whole off season. Why do you think that is? He was a good pitcher (3.09 ERA) playing for a playoff team (they get more coverage), with a good career (3.72 ERA). The only thing bringing him down is the injury thing. He will definitely be a steal for whoever gets him. Don't have any idea who he'll sign with.
