I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.
Ah, give me something clever to say here.
Veras and Farnsy are pretty decent.
The other two suck.
Igawa was good in Japan, Farnsworth was good with some other teams, Veras was good just this past year. Ponson had very good numbers with Texas. Delgado hasn't been himself since 2006. Once Ponson shut us out through 6, it didn't matter who came in, the Mets had been deflated. I'd say Delgado getting 9 RBI is more embarrassing, because that many RBI in a game happens WAY less commonly than a shutout.
Both are pretty hilarious.
Marshall: MILSWANCAs?
Ted: Wait, I can get this. Mothers I'd like to sleep with and never call again.
Barney: Circle gets the square!

Getting shut out by Sidney Ponson, Kyle Farnsworth, Jose Veras, and Kei Igawa.
you guys have to realize though, a shutout is uncommon, but not that rare. 9 RBI's in a game has only happened like 7 times in history. It's so much harder, and to do that to a hitter like Delgado, it's more embarrassing in my mind, regardless of who it happened to.
6 in one hand, half dozen in the other.
Letting Jarrod Washburn win a game is worse.

I voted the Ponson, he is so God awful and the other pitchers aren't much better to get a shutout is an utter miracle almos. Plus Delgado has the potential to put a game or two together that is great.
I voted #2. I don't know. They are unproven pitchers. Sidney Ponson sucked last year but he's pitching well but he needs to prove that he can pitch better in a long run.
