    April Fool's Joke

    The Washington Nationals are 2-0.

    Oh, wait...
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

Yes that is expected. No one is counting on them to make the playoffs. Wait not many people are counting on the Yankees to make the playoffs either.

Most of the talking the Yankees are going to be doing is from the Disabled List. Just wait all they need is Wang or Pettite(Wait he is already hurt a bit) and there rotation is not very strong.

Injuries aren't something you can predict. That's not something you can go around saying "so and so is going to get hurt." Unless you promise to eat a cat if it doesn't come true...

He's fine. He'll be starting friday, the Yanks were just being cautious in spring training, exactly like they should have been.

    Re: April Fool's Joke

But is he not on the D.L. and has he not had a lot of problems with his lower back in the past several years? My point is I am just going by track record and Pettite has recently had a track record of lower back injuries that flare up several times through the season. The Yankees do have one of the best lineups(offense) in the league. There is no denying that, but they will live or die on there pitching and they are not getting any younger. Also it has been shown that with age there are more injuries(not only with baseball, but with all sports). I don't like seeing anyone get injured. I don't really care what team they are on. I would love to see each team go injury free throughout the whole season, but realistically that is not going to happen.

Umm...for the most part, I agree. However, I have 4 examples of the opposite.

    1-Carl Pavano
    2-Moises Alou
    3-Kerry Wood
    4-Mark Prior

And just recently with the Orioles pitchers like Jaret Wright and Kris Benson come to mind.
