I can't afford his salary anyways, but he'd sure be helpful.

Wanted.
Pitchers that are willing to pitch in Safeco Field. Reward is a spot on the worst pitching staff in sim league existence (at least in this leagues).

How many injuries can happen to important players in 1 SIM? And of course just AFTER the trade dedline
Luke Putkonen OUT full season
Joe Beimel OUT 5 weeks
Yulienski Gourriel OUT one week
Curtis Granderson OUT 2-3 weeks
That kills the bullpen and 2 of the top 5 spots in the lineup
Still in first by 7 though.. and I will need that buffer with all that

On another note, Leadbetter back in 5 games. If Shields didn't go down, I'd feel a lot better about that, but now he's just replacing him. Brett Myers continues to fill in nicely, as does Rich Hill (I figured he would-- a guy succeptible to giving up the long ball moving from Safeco to Dodger's Stadium could make a big difference)... but I haven't had all of my pitchers healthy at once (not even counting Beckett in this one...) since about April or March. One gets healthy, another goes down.
And I really thought that Carlos Quentin trade would put us over the top

Subject: Retirement
Dear Sir,
I think it is time to leave the show. It was a great time,
but I feel I have nothing left, so I'm retiring today!

I feel you dave... just look at this:
Injuries & Disabled List
Player Status Recovery Time Time on DL left Diagnosis
Scott Elbert Day-to-Day (85%) 5 weeks 0 days Pulled Tricep Muscle
Blake DeWitt OUT one week 0 days Scratched Cornea Eye
John Leadbetter OUT 5 days 0 days Herniated Disc Back
James Shields OUT 4 weeks 0 days Inflamed Rotator Cuff Muscle
Kyle Drabek OUT full season 0 days Ruptured Disc Back
Josh Beckett OUT full season 43 days Torn Tricep Muscle
That's a good core of my starting roster, and until Drabek got hurt, he was a nice reclamation project... now he's junk barring a boost or something (still does have 10end, and throws hard afterall...)
And that's not even mentioning the minors....
Kevin O'Neal Day-to-Day (80%) 3-4 weeks 0 days Spasms Back
Robert McKean Day-to-Day (90%) 2 days 0 days Stiff Shoulder
Tsuguhiko Shihi Day-to-Day (90%) 3 weeks 0 days Broken Ribs
Alberto Quijada OUT 22 weeks 0 days Torn Bicep Muscle
Freddy Dunas Day-to-Day (80%) one week 0 days Stiff Elbow
Thankfully they all stink. Especially shaq

My closer, a top 5 NL closer, was injured for 5-6 weeks and then this sim they decided to add a few more weeks on for fun. My backup closer, Lindstrom, was injured in the first sim I had him. My middle relief/spot starter was injured for a few weeks in August. Another middle relief/spot starter was then injured in August. And then my backup middle relief/spot starter was also injured in AAA. Not as bad as some team's injuries, but considering I traded Nolasco, Corcoran, Johnson and Olsen this season... it hurts as my depth starts running thin after all those injuries.

Climbed back into a first place tie. Prince, A-Ram, Freeman, and Heyward all have had their BA's drop off from last year, and Casto and Meloan are having major struggles. Overall, not too bad, just hoping to turn it on now.
Well, since this is the most negative day in TPSL history...I'll chime in. We lost 5 in a row and our lead's down to 3.5.
But hey, we still have the best record in the National League!
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.
Ah, give me something clever to say here.
