Random Ok..... new blood, new rules, or wrap it up??

Well, as is 3 teams have interim GMs (Boston and Baltimore have no GMs period, and I've been running Cleveland while Shadow is away and I'm unsure when he will return). Not going to name toss, but there's a lot of inactive teams and teams that don't send changes period (3 off the top of my head haven't sent me a change in 2 sim seasons+...).

I really enjoy the league, and I enjoy running it, but I would like to try to fill the league if we're going to run with 30 teams...

If you guys know anyone who would be interested in a league, or if anyone from the other leagues browses and would like to join an additional league, let them know. I really want to fill these spots, or I'm going to have to think of something. I really don't care how many people you can find, the more the better with the way things are lately...

    ======

On the matter of some new "rules"... not really rules but...

If I allowed exporting, would you guys like that? I don't know much about it, but as long as I would confirm it wouldn't damage the file, I would be open to anything at this point. I don't even know if anyone has OOTP 6.5/6.12 anymore though, so it might not even be worth it at this point...

I could sim more days at a time to get through seasons quicker, maybe 20 games per sim?

I don't know... I'm just trying to get something working here. Really, I know OOTP isn't a job to be tied down to, and I'm by no means painting it out to be like that. Honestly man, for the most part everyone is active annyway, but there are those teams that are nearly completely ignored (despite having loads of talent) and I don't really know what to do with their GM situations.

Either way, let me know about exporting.. and if anyone knows anyone who's into this stuff .... league needs some life or it's going to go under I'm afraid.

    I have 6.5 and I love exporting

I don't think 20 game SIMs help, you will probably get more complaints about injuries that happen on game #2 and are not dealt with and changes not made for 18 more games

Dunno what else to say for a suggestion for an 'oomph'... Strippergrams for the WS winner?

Yea I don't have 6.5 either or any OOTP version either but if it makes the league go better i guess i can acquire it somehow...

I think 20 game sims won't work out well at all, 15 is a perfect length

I know contraction is an evil word but it's worked well in Prov's league so far

Well.. not all managers would HAVE to export... but it is an appealing option if those of us who have the software are allowed to do it (plus makes it easier on the commish)

Which team do you want? Boston and Baltimore have no GMs, just interims.

Baltimore and Boston are completely available Foster!

Either or is cool w/ me.

If you wait, there's a chance by season's end there will be a handful more of open teams depending on who checks in... but I'm hoping activity picks up in all honesty and we won't have to re-arrange anything. Honestly, I don't know though.

But filling either of those teams is a start (not that Zito and Saber don't do a good job with them as is, but I'd like them to have permament GMs.)

Also, I will open exporting starting in the offseason or beginning of spring training as long as I can confirm it won't expose the file to error.

As long as I'm 100% positive the file won't corrupt or anything, then we'll give it a go. I'll see what has to be done now. Can't imagine it's too complicated... the only problem might be the bandwith.

I'm around too, the Brewers just suck
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.
