someone really needs to explain to me how Carlos Marmol is SO F'IN BAD.

0-2, 13.50 ERA. That's 8 ER in 5.1 innings. He's given up at least a run in every one of his 6 appearances.

I still can't figure it out...

o, and Cole Hamels had a rough first sim too. 0-1 with a 7.16 ERA in his first 3 starts

Yet this team is only 6-5. Jeff Francis hasn't given up a run so far this season. That shouldn't last. Pretty quickly its about to become a 4 man rotation if Young doesn't come around. Offense is hitting HRs but they cant generate more runs.

I didn't expect the offense to start out so hot. IIRC, the offense was lacking somewhat toward the end of last season. We better get those pitching numbers down though. No development to speak of. A couple high schoring games against Leo: 9 - 0, 10 - 2, and 20 - 4. That's probably why our numbers are high. Snelling certainly enjoyed the White Sux:

The 2-1 game was one of the games that Rich Hill pitched a gem and lost.

He went 8.1 IP with only 1 ER and 9 Ks and lost to the Yanks thanks to the Saunders.
