Twins 2009 Minnesota Twins (AL Central Champs)

    2009 Twins possible lineup!

    1. Dejesus DH 44 stolen bases last season. Good table setter should create alot of runs scored.
    2. Mauer C only 25 years old. One of the better catchers in the game. looking for better rbi totals this season.
    3. Cabrera 2nd 51 stolen bases last season. Another guy like Dejesus will be a table setter and be on base for my home run hitters.
    4. Kubel LF Had a great season last season! Should put up better numbers now with guys like Dejesus/Mauer and Cabrera on base. 30 homers 125 rbi's should happen.
    5. Chavez 3rd base Hit 286 last season with 25 homers and 107 rbis. Most rbi's in 5 years. Great against the right hand pitchers and can still hit vs lefties as well. I would think Chavez can still hit 25 plus homers and 110 rbis.
    6. Gordon 1st Going to get him a chance to play 1st everyday. Good looking player here that should do well in this lineup. If struggles I have bankston that is a big time power threat could step in just fine. Same production as Dejesus but more homers.
    7. Rowand CF Played well in his first season in Minnesota. 44 stolen bases, hits for power and drives in rbis. All around player should do even better year two in the American league.
    8. Cuddyer RF plays about everywhere in the field. Down year due to 16 games less played. I expect a major improvement here. 20 homers 95 rbis+ this season.
    9. Barlett SS Going to let him play this season full time. 7 range at SS 8 arm. I want him in the lineup for his defense. If he hit 8 homer and 75 rbis I will be exited.

    Bench
Bankston - Power hitting 1st baseman. DH will be his role. Defense is terrible.
Buck - Good backup catcher can step in and start when needed. Can get the job done.
German - 2nd base defensive gem. I will have him in the late innings for defensive upgrade. Can be a starter if needed.

    Pitching.

Not a bad group. I have a couple small pieces to refill here. A lefty setup man is a must. Maybe in the market for a lefty middle reliever.

Nathan may become available. Pat Neschek is more than ready to step in.
    Starting Rotation
    1) L J. Santana
    2) R C. Silva
    3) R A. Burnett
    4) R M. Garza
    5) L S. Kazmir

    Mopup Reliever
    1) R M. Guerrier
    2) L C. Cali

    Middle Reliever
    1) R S. Baker
    2) R J. Crain
    3) L C. Cali
    4) R B. Bonser

    Setup Reliever
    1) R P. Neshek
    2) I will find a lefty for the setup role.

    Closer
    1) R J. Nathan

Has nothing to do with this season.....

You're on the way down.... I'm glad to have talent and to be stocked for replacements for quite a few seasons

Yeah... I'm not scared by your minors... .and about the only thing that scares me on your team is Santana and the ability to steal

I'm happy to have the talent available, the talent progressing at the ML level, and a lineup in the minors about scheduled out to replace where needed with retirements or FA losses... and to have 2 additional 10-10-10 SP's coming up soon

You ratings are of lesser talent and current rating... and at the beginning of the season, that is what you have to go by.... your birth into the playoffs, followed by yet another 0-fer has zero bearing on this year

Hell.. I have better backups at AAA waiting, than some of the ones you are populating your roster with

I'll battle with what I have... and when my guys are ready... I wave at you as I see you as a speck in the rear view mirror

Santana was almost dealt for a box of markers, guys. Fear the markers.
