-- SP Justin Orenduff (AAA) ... 6-5-7 ovr out of 9-9-7 talent, 7 endurance, 52 gbp, throws a sinker/slider combo with a fastball that reaches the low-nineties. 25 years old and in AAA, may contribute this year if injuries strike or he has a good spring traning. Otherwise could be #1 piece of trade bait.

-- SP Scott Elbert (AAA) ... 5-5-6 out of 9-7-7 at age 23, further off than the rest, but has time to develop. Could possibly crack the rotation by July if he has a growing spurt or there's injuries to the starting rotation. More promise than any other pitcher on staff.

-- SP James Adkins (AAA) ... 6-4-8 out of 7-7-9, at 23 years old. Has the endurance to start at 7, but with a slider-fastball combo and no third pitch, may be better suited for the bullpen...

-- MR Greg D. Miller (AAA) ... 9-5-7 and filled out... throws mid nineties, and has nice endurance for a MR. Was up briefly in 07 and had success, but will have trouble finding time in a crowded LA pen.

-- MR Michael Guinn (AAA) ... 4-8-8 out of 4-10-9... throws a fastball-slider combo that reaches the low nineties, and like Miller, has nice endurance for a middle reliever. 25 years old, and while he may be ready to help out, will have trouble finding a spot in the LA pen.

-- 2B Preston Mattingly (AAA) ... 6-6-5-3-4 ovr out of 7-7-9-6-4 talent, 6-8-8 spd/stl/br, 21 yrs old and has developed fast. Poor defense means he may have a hard time finding a place on the field.

-- SS Chin-Lung Hu (AAA) ... 7-7-5-5-7 out of 7-8-5-6-7, with 6-6-6 spd/stl/br... 10 range at 3B & SS, with a great fielding percentage at each, and an adequate arm.
