    Detroit 2008-2009 Offseason block

Time to make room for the youngsters.... plus I would like to possibly upgrade 1 SP and gain 1 dominant RP

    Up for trade
    4.0 DH/1B Mike Sweeney - 8-8-7-7-8 - Only 3.23MIL in salary
    2.5 2B/3B Placido Polanco - 8-7-4-4-10
3.5 SP spect Eulogia de la Cruz - 8-4-7 out of 9-5-7, ML ready
3.5 RP spect Joakim Soria - been in majors for 2 seasons and already a good performer
    2.0 SP Jordan Tata - 6-9-8 out of 7-9-8
    2.0 SP Nate Robertson - 7-8-8
    5.0 SP spect Dallas Trahern
    5.0 SP spect Luke Putkonen
    4.0 SS spect Danny Worth

Would consider trading 4.0 3B spect Wilkin Ramirez in a deal with others from above in order to land a stud 3B

Might consider trading Maglio if the deal is right

Might have interest in Robertson. I really gotta see how the offseason plays out... I ****ed up on Paul Byrd's extension, and he won't re-sign with me for any less than 17 mil over 3 years (don't ask... I meant to offer it to Brad Penny, but accidentally was offering to Paul Byrd, and now he won't accept anything less). Brad Penny is testing the market because he wanted too much money and didn't like my offers. As a result, both are going to walk and become free agents, leaving me with two big holes in my rotation. Derek Lowe won't resign either due to being moved to the bullpen, so essentially, my rotation at the moment looks like Sabathia, Billingsley, Schmidt if he lasts any longer, and Tomo Ohko... not exactly appealing once you get past the first two.

I'll have to see once we get through the first round or two of free agency, but if Robertson is available... I'll hit you up come the offseason. I might have interest.

I can help you upgrade at 3B, but I have no interest in Ramirez. I do like Trahern, Putkonen, and Tata some.

Mild interest in Polanco from the giants... I need a top of the lineup type guy who can play second or third.

Send me what you think you're willing to give... I've been up for over 32 hours, so I won't be able to get to it today... I'll be sleeping when I get home

texas is in dire, dire need of a top-of-the-rotation starter... would 3B Hank Blalock(7-10-8-7-5 on 8-9-10-7-5 talent) and an upper-tier prospect be able to net me a Bonderman or a Verlander?

Bump again.... and add that I could/would think of trading Maglio Ordonez or Brad Wilkerson if the price is right
