i think by taking the extra year i was stupid, i agree... but i had 4 holes to fill with 0 money to spend, now i have 5 holes to fill with like 6.5 mil to spend, and i have the nastiest 1-4 (reyes, beltran, wright, arod) in the league. delgado is already dead, loduca is mediocre vs 2/3rds of the league in righties, heilman is a bum... pedro is still a beast, but hes 35. humber is a solid prospect, but needs a talent boost to become a monster.

and arod is useable, and will be useable for the next 3 years... i expect he'll die off in his final year of the contract, so ill have to be smart financially til then. still... i cleared out money by taking on arod.
