I was looking on Rotoworld, and I saw this tidbit

Chad Gaudin struck out six in 6 2/3 scoreless innings for Magallanes of the VWL yesterday. Gaudin now has a 2.01 ERA in seven starts in Venezuela.

Now, the piece goes on to say that they soured on him after a bad performance in 2005 but he may be getting some trade value back with this.

This situation seems a bit unique to me. How do you sour on a guy when he's only going to be 23 years old when next year begins? From the little he has pitched in Toronto, what do you think of the guy. Is it even reasonable to consider a 23 year old with some MLB experience as trade bait? I mean, he's likely not a major player and his rates look pretty average, but how often do you see 23 year olds on the market?

It seems weird that an American would go to Venezuela to play baseball.

Other than that it appears that he sucks. And his splits are ugly, lefties completely dominate him. But righties do too for that matter.

I really like Gaudin he has a wicked slider and hope he doesn't get traded, I like him in the relief role
