McGowan Looks To Continue Jays Winning Streak

Well, we are on a three game winning streak and looking to make it four tonight when Dustin McGowan (6-5, 4.84 ERA) takes on Scott Baker (4-3, 5.32 ERA). Baker has started two games against the Jays this year, getting a no-decision in both games and giving up 4 runs in 12.1 innings pitched. McGowan has yet to pitch against the Twins this year. With a victory in the second game of the three-game set, Toronto would reach a .500 record for the first time since the club was 39-39 on June 28. Since then, the Jays have have gone winless in their five attempts to reach the break-even mark. Toronto will be hoping the sixth time's a charm. Toronto designated hitter Frank Thomas is one home run away from having 53 in his career against the Twins. That mark would move him past Rocky Colavito for the most home runs all-time against Minnesota.

    PREDICTION: Jays 6, Twins 4

Well McGowan did it, throwing the third Jays shutout in four games and we also won today 13-1, five game winning streak!!!! They also set a team record in the 6th inning for most runs in a inning with 11. Lets hope we continue against the Sox!!!

I wasn't able to watch any games this due to work, great to see all the pitchers come through with a great outing and the offense has been better lately.
