Not many secondbasemen make that play, even after bobbling the ball like he did. Great play by Alfonzo, but a dumb move by Perlozzo, replacing Patterson with Conine. Patterson is on a tear right now, and even if its a lefty vs lefty, you stay with the hot hand and defensive OF'er, especially with a depleted bench. Plus, he runs that play out, as Conine was only two steps away. Regardless, nice play by Alfonzo, and great pitches from Schoenweis.
